Serabend rugs have geometric designs and, most importantly, a pattern that covers the entire field of the rug. The Seraband field design, known as Mir, has miniature <a href=\"\/en\/rug-education\/after-all-what-is-the-meaning-of-the-term-boteh\/\">bot\u00e9h<\/a> motifs repeated horizontally across the central background. Occasionally, designs with four triangles are woven into the corners of the background. The corners and edges also feature bot\u00e9hs, leaves and vines woven into vertical stripes.
