Heriz – Northwest Persia

Faithful to the traditional style of the ancient Heriz masterpieces, this rug combines bold colour with designs that produce effects of straight, angular movement. Diagonal lines and rigid strokes traverse the whole field, conveying motion — not fluid or delicate, but architectural: shapes optimally arranged, sections connected like masonry.
