A fine silk Qom. On the luminous ivory field, a grand floral medallion in deep indigo extends two pendants formed by large botéhs, all interconnected by flowering vines and filled with golden arabesques — the ancient teardrop motif rendered in silk’s most aristocratic register. The pale dusty-pink border answers with double botéhs and open floral sprays between reciprocal stripes. Woven in soft, fine silk on a silk foundation, the carpet holds that perfect balance of colour — gold, indigo, ivory, rose — that gives great Qoms their glow. A distinctly elegant design, made to catch and return the light.
