A magnificent Kerman with a paradise design of palatial proportions — a royal Persian garden for your living room. Infinite birds and animals inhabit its profusion of trees and flowering plants: deer, lions, rabbits and songbirds move among lush foliage, flowering vines and three great vases of roses, all celebrating what seems the first morning of spring. The vibrant palette — ruby, gold, rose, teal — keeps the composition alive from every angle. Even the main border joins the scene, bustling with wildlife and hunters in action. Kerman’s painters-in-wool made few pieces this festive; fewer still survive at this scale.
